Channels 7/12 - Typically used to evaluate single, or dual stream plus core vent exhaust system performance at static conditions. Exhaust system models are mounted on a direct connect balance. A three component force balance measures thrust, normal force, and pitching moment. An ASME flow meter determines the mass flow delivered to the facility control volume and the incoming momentum needed for the force balance equation.
Channel 8 - Typically used to evaluate single or multiple stream exhaust system performance at static conditions. Exhaust system models are mounted on a direct connect 3 or 6 component balance. An ASME flow meter determines the mass flow delivered to the test article. A test chamber and vacuum system can be configured for high NPR simulation.
Flow Visualization services include PSP (Pressure Sensitive Paint), Lamp Black, Shadow Graph and Shlieren images of the nozzle flowpath.
Engine Test Inlets, Engine Bellmouths, Duct Calibrations, Pitot Static Tubes, Instrumentation Rakes, Flow Angle Probe Calibrations and more.
We would like to collaborate to find a test solution to your development challenges. Facilities can accommodate a variety of other types of flow testing.
