Having access to this latest Sled Technology allows Electric Vehicle & Battery manufacturers to test their new battery packs and modules in an efficient & effective manner to specific crash pulse requirements. The ability to control the crash pulse through servo controlled braking system allows Calspan to deliver high-accuracy & highly repeatable test results to its customers.
Our Sleds have a high payload capacity and large sled carriage which gives our customers the flexibility to mount a wide range of battery packs and almost no limitations to the weight of such packs that are being tested.
Specialized Customer Workspaces allow our Electric Vehicle & Battery Customers to have all the space and equipment they need to properly prepare a battery for testing along with post-test tear-down and analysis (including charging and dis-charging of battery packs and modules).
Our Servo Sleds are capable of on demand pulse matching allowing seamless transitions between any custom pulse requirements which translates to greater test efficiency and minimal downtime.
Calspan's SLED and CRASH Teams work closely together in all areas of operation to ensure vehicle manufacturers have correlation between development SLED Tests and Full Vehicle Crash Tests.
