Calspan’s state of the art Sled Test Facility features two ServoSleds, the most capable sleds in the industry.
Calspan’s SLED Testing Facility has the right equipment & facility to allow vehicle manufacturers to test efficiently & effectively their vehicle seats, restraint & passive safety systems to specific crash pulse requirements through our latest Servo SLED technology. The ability to control the crash pulse through servo controlled braking system allows Calspan to deliver high-accuracy & highly repeatable test results to its customers.
With a high payload capacity and large sled carriage, this allow us to give our customers the flexibility to mount a wide range of vehicle bucks that encompass all seating positions to increase safety for all occupants with interactions of airbags, seat belts, seating and other parts of the vehicle interior, in the event of a crash.
The ability to pulse match on a Sled System is critical for accurate and repeatable test data. This ensures the ability to relate the data to actual full vehicle crash testing results.
Calspan's SLED and CRASH Teams work closely together in all areas of operation to ensure vehicle manufacturers have correlation between development SLED Tests and Full Vehicle Crash Tests.
When testing at Calspan SLED, we believe our customers should have everything they need at the facility to combat any challenges that occur during testing, so project is successful.
