Calspan was privileged to host a visit in October by the Honorable Heidi Shyu, Undersecretary of Defense for Research & Engineering and Representative Betty McCollum, Chair of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense (HAC-D), to discuss hypersonic test facility needs, challenges, and plans at our Calspan ASE division headquarters in St. Paul, MN.
They were joined by Test Resources Management Center (TRMC) leadership George Rumford, Director, and Geoff Wilson, Program Manager, Test & Evaluation / Science & Technology (not in photo).
As the nation’s leading independent provider of hypersonic test & evaluation systems and services, Calspan is collaborating with the University of Minnesota to integrate state-of-the-art modeling and simulation with advanced hypersonic test facilities to support this OSD(R&E) Critical Technology Area.
