Turnkey Design and Fabrication
Calspan has been designing and fabricating wind tunnel and test cell hardware for over 50 years. Our 93,000 square foot facility in Newport News is equipped with the facility space and overhead crane capacity to fabricate complex structures used to house test articles in some of the most sophisticated test cells in the world.
We have designed and fabricated Model Insertion Systems, Test Article carts, Model Positioning System, wind tunnel model stings and various other components required by facilities to support their testing. We are equipped with the unique capability to provide industry leading design expertise as well as precision fabrication, assembly and check out all within our facility.
Our experience on these types of programs ranges from build to print applications to turnkey clean sheet designs that require collaboration with government customers and end users.
