Airborne Testing

Calspan is a full service flight test organization housed in a state-of-the-art 80,000 sq. ft. hangar facility on the Niagara Falls, NY, International Airport (KIAG).  Our full-time team of experimental test pilots, engineers, mechanics, and technicians stand ready to take your ideas to flight in one of our fleet of jet-powered airborne testbeds. Call us when your ideas and concepts get to Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 3 or above and let us help get your system into the air safely and efficiently.

Worldwide Operations

Our pilots and maintainers regularly deploy with the aircraft to support flight test programs around the globe. Our aircraft have deployed to Europe, Africa, and the Pacific Rim in support of the U.S. Government and commercial customers.

Experienced Staff

As a full-service flight test organization, we are staffed with the expertise to assist with all facets of airborne testing. Each of our experimental test pilots is a graduate of one of the major Western test pilot schools. Our engineering staff includes aeronautical, computer and software, electrical, and mechanical engineers. Our mechanics are all FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certified, and each has their own fabrication specialty. Our technicians are equally talented, doing everything from circuit board build-up to full-on aircraft integration.
