Calspan is a NHTSA partnered lab for Pedestrian Protection also prides itself on being an industry leader in this space. Calspan was also selected to assist in the current development of the NHTSA standards for Pedestrian Protection.

Calspan is testing to all global Pedestrian Protection standards including USNCAP, EuroNCAP, JNCAP, and FMVSS as well as actively collaborating with organizations on new standards to be implemented.

Our new state of the art PedPro facility, opened in 2022, features dual impact testing rooms with TECCON and ARIES launchers and a fully equipped ATD and instrumentation laboratory. The 6,000 sq/ft facility also includes dedicated space for vehicle repairs, markup, and secure storage. Additional customer and meeting spaces help support customer development while on site
