John Yurtchuk, co-owner and Chairman of Calspan, has recently been elected Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra (BPO) and Board Chair of the Daemen College Board of Trustees. As a long-time supporter of both organizations, it is no surprise that Mr. Yurtchuk has earned such prestigious titles.

Mr. Yurtchuk also supports numerous charitable organizations in a variety of ways throughout Western New York. Serving on a variety of boards, committees, and participating in various philanthropic events, John has enhanced the lives of many. The organizations he supports span arts and culture, higher education, and humanitarianism. He is the former Chairman and is Chairman-Elect (2021) of the Board of Trustees for the Western New York Chapter of the American Red Cross, where he was made a Clement Trustee. In 2019, John became a founding member of the Red Cross’ National Loyalty Circle Leadership Society. He is also a former Board of Trustees member of the Albright-Knox Art Gallery and is a founding board member of the Eyes On America Foundation. In 2018, Mr. Yurtchuk was recognized for his significant contributions to the cultural sector in Buffalo at the WNY Arts Services Spark Awards.
