Calspan will be exhibiting at the 63rd Annual SETP Symposium which will be held in Anaheim, CA, at the Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa from September 25-28, 2019. SETP is an international organization that seeks to promote air safety and contributes to aeronautical advancement by promoting sound aeronautical design and development; interchanging ideas, thoughts, and suggestions of the members, assisting in the professional development of experimental pilots, and providing scholarships and aid to members and their families.
Attending and supporting this event is part of Calspan’s dedication to supporting test pilots. Calspan is proud to be a world-class, full-service flight test organization. All of our pilots are U.S. Air Force or Naval Test Pilot School graduates with many years of operational and experimental flight test experience. We are the pioneers behind and operators of the Variable Stability In-Flight Simulator and Test Aircraft (VISTA) for the United States Air Force Test Pilot School (USAF TPS) at Edwards Air Force Base in California. Under the current contract, Calspan provides maintenance, operations support, engineering, and curriculum development for the USAF TPS VISTA/F-16. Calspan has been supporting the United States Air Force and United States Naval Test Pilot School (USNTPS) for over 50 years.

Our personnel is well versed in the process and discipline of aircraft performance, stability and control, and systems testing. Our people and aircraft have conducted flight test programs around the globe.
New This Year!
Calspan will be sponsoring a new event at this year’s SETP Symposium. A reception and dance will be held on Friday, September 27th beginning at 8 pm in the Sequoia Ballroom. The event, sponsored by Calspan will run through midnight with a live DJ, dance floor and themed rooms adjacent to the Ballroom. These themed rooms will feature beverages relating to A Taste of California, A Taste of Manhattan, and A Taste of Bavaria. The ticket price to attend this event is $10 and must be purchased separately of full-price registration.
