For three days, the Calspan aerospace team will be available to collaborate with the industry to help shape the future of aerospace at the 2020 AIAA SciTech Forum, January 6-10, 2020 in Orlando, FL.
Calspan’s experts will be sharing information about our turnkey testing solutions for the development of aircraft and systems. Our services include wind tunnel model design and fabrication, high-quality force measurement systems, wind tunnel testing in our 8’ x 8’ Transonic Wind Tunnel, and in-flight research capabilities on our fleet of 8 fully modified airborne testbeds.
As part of the Forum, our Vice President of Flight Operations, Paul Schifferle, will be presenting on Calspan’s experience using modified Learjets In-Flight Simulator as a UAS Surrogate for Manned-Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) concepts of operations in experimental scenarios. His topic will specifically focus on the use of the Calspan Learjet In-Flight Simulator as a UAS Surrogate and how it can be leveraged to solve modern problems.
As a Corporate Member, Calspan will have the opportunity to engage with the next generation of the AIAA community in a large young professionals networking event on Sunday evening. We are excited to meet over 150 of the brightest aerospace and engineering students who are looking for internships and jobs in this competitive market. Visit our Careers section to learn more about working at Calspan and to view all of our open opportunities.
SciTech continues to be a critical event for Calspan and the aerospace industry as a whole. Calspan stays on the cutting edge by sharing our experiences with experimental technology, linking with thought leaders from across the globe, and sitting on testing committees. Our participation on the Ground Test Technical Committee (GTTC) allows us to contribute to the greater aerospace community that reaches across NASA, Department Of Defense, and both U.S. and international universities, through sharing and contributing to the development of new whitepapers.
