#BeCalspan: Buffalo Corporate Challenge 2019
Calspan recently joined over 270 other participating companies in the 2019 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge for Buffalo, NY. Sixty-two Calspan employees participated in the 3.5-mile competitive event, all sporting the company’s talent brand “Be Calspan” t-shirts. Calspan employees cheered on the nearly 13,000+ participants and celebrated a successful race with a meal from Fat Bob’s Smokehouse.
Participating in the Corporate Challenge is just one more way that Calspan exercises its unique and innovative culture with one of its five tenets of our employee value proposition, “Be Balanced”. Promoting a healthy work/life balance is crucial to Calspan’s core set of values surrounding inclusiveness, accountability, and innovation. To further foster this culture, all Calspan employees have access to an on-campus fitness center, restaurant, and many social events open to the entire business park to encourage a healthy balance.

Later this summer, Calspan is sponsoring the Runway 5K at the Niagara Falls International Airport. The race takes place right on the runway, with a portion of the proceeds going to Friends of Family Support Association, 914th Tactical Airlift Wing. This organization provides various support services to military members and their families. Participants get free admission into the Niagara Aerospace Museum on the day of the race.
