Calspan in the Community

At Calspan, we have always believed in strength in community, and we need each other now more than ever. With many employees working from home, together Calspan and The Eatery at Calspan was able to donate the food surplus to some of the community members working on the frontlines in the fight against COVID-19.

As a result, we were able to deliver hundreds of boxed lunches to local nursing homes, hospitals, police departments, and other frontline workers, including the Brothers of Mercy campus, Buffalo General Hospital, the Lancaster Police Department, Pinto Sanitation, and Roswell Park.

“We saw this opportunity to step up and help make a difference in our community during such uncertain times,” says Eatery proprietor Dan Hensley. “Once we saw the smiles on their faces, I knew we made someone’s day better.”

Our team was inspired by the amazing people in our community that are truly everyday heroes. We wanted to give back and say thank you for their unwavering commitment to our local community and welfare. During these times, unity and togetherness are crucial, and we can all help each other, no matter the size of the act of kindness.
