Our business units working on-site are adhering to strict protocols to ensure the health and safety of staff and customers, and in many cases, our customers are hundreds if not thousands of miles away. So how does that work?

Calspan’s Remote Testing Solution is the answer. This powerful software solution consists of three main components which work together to give our customers the ability to fully participate in the testing. All components utilize highly secure and encrypted technology to protect confidentiality, privacy, and security. The three components are:

  • Virtual Customer Room, where you have a direct voice and video contact with the test engineer to collaborate in real-time, just like you would do on-site.
  • Test Plans, Setup Results and Test Data are made available to you electronically in near real-time, allowing you to analyze the results and make informed decisions.
  • Real-Time HD Video Streams allow you to follow along during all phases of the testing project. If needed, movable cameras are brought close to the test article allowing you to visually inspect details like you normally would.

Depending on the test facility you are working with, the setup may look a bit different based on the nature of testing. By working closely with our customers, we are continuously improving the remote testing program solution as we adapt to unique needs, such as shifting testing hours to better align with different time zones, or performing tasks that our on-site customers normally would do themselves.

When the most common complaint about the system is that our customers can’t get some of Buffalo’s gastronomical delights such as Buffalo Wings or Beef-on-Weck, then we know we are on the right track.
