Reliance Consolidated Models V and Force Measurement Support Services.

Newport News, VA – October 5, 2018 – NASA Langley Research Center has awarded Calspan Systems Corporation in Newport News, Virginia, the Reliance Consolidated Models V (RECOM V) and Force Measurement Support Services (FMSS) indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts valued at $9.5M and $9.0M respectively.

The Reliance Consolidated Models V (RECOM V) effort is a consolidation of design and/or fabrication of Aerospace Model Systems and Development Test Hardware used for Spaceflight, Flight, Spaceflight Demonstration, and Ground-based tests supporting NASA Langley Research Center. The contract may also be used to support other NASA Centers that require work within the scope of the RECOM V Performance Work Statement. The RECOM V contract has a maximum cumulative value of $9.5M over a 5-year period of performance.

The purpose of Force Measurement Support Services (FMSS) contract is to provide high-quality force and strain measurement capabilities for various programs and projects by providing services to produce, calibrate, repair and develop force and strain measurement capabilities, that incorporate technological advancements to meet current and future aerospace research challenges at Langley Research Center and other NASA centers. The FMSS contract has a maximum cumulative value of $9M over a 5-year period of performance.
