Calspan will be exhibiting at the 2018 SAE Government/Industry Meeting which will be held in Washington D.C. at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, January 24-26, 2018.

This annual technical conference brings together government policy and regulatory makers, auto industry experts, and academic institutions for networking and information sharing related to emissions control, safety, and energy conservation. Attending this annual event is part of Calspan’s commitment to remain the global leader in transportation testing.

At this conference, attendees can visit with Calspan representatives to discuss proposed crash test protocols, current compliance and NCAP tests, and learn about Calspan’s brand new state-of-the-art crash laboratory and its unique assets which can be utilized to validate simulation models, support and verification.  Furthermore, it’s a great opportunity to hear about Calspan’s upcoming expansion plans, all in support of the ground transportation industry.

In January of 2018, Calspan will be opening it’s brand new, state-of-the-art crash laboratory. This massive, fully enclosed, climate controlled and highly secure facility, located directly across the street from the Buffalo Niagara International Airport, was designed specifically to support new vehicle development.  As such, everything required to execute crash tests precisely, accurately and rapidly is all within one building. Including a MESSRING propulsion system, MicroTrack and high resolution load cell walls as well as separate and secure test vehicle preparation bays, private customer rooms, an ATD certification laboratory, and a secure shipping and receiving dock.
