Inlet Testing
Channel 19 and Channel 20 may be used for inlet performance studies at static conditions:
- Inlet Recovery
- Distortion and Swirl Studies
- Mass Flow Calibrations
- Sand Ingestion / Particle Separation Efficiency
Flow Studies
Channels 19 and 20 may be configured with test sections for continuous flow component tests in a free stream.
- Probes
- Heat Exchangers
Channel 20:
- Primary flow from 500HP suction blower
- Mass flow up to 38 lbm/s
- May be configured with multiple tertiary flows for scavenge
- Large test cell suited for full scale turboshaft and turboprop inlets
Channel 19:
- Primary flow from 250HP suction blower
- Mass flow up to 18 lbm/s
- May be configured with multiple tertiary flows for scavenge
- Suited for full scale, sub-scale, or sectors of turboshaft and turboprop inlets
