Calspan has been providing design and fabrication services to the military and commercial marine and shipbuilding industries for more than 30 years. These systems include complex mechanical components and systems for the US Navy that have been designed and manufactured in our Newport News, Virginia facility. Our facility can design, analyze and build components in a secure environment. This includes the machining of complex components such as propulsor assemblies as well as the fabrication of composite parts for use in marine applications.
Our products include gear boxes, secondary steam condensers, propulsor assemblies, and composite submarine sail cusps and tail cones. Our experienced engineering and systems design team provides our customers with the right solutions for their most difficult and challenging issues and stands ready to provide global product support.
Advanced Fabrication
Calspan's Newport News, Virginia facility has over 93,000 square foot of dedicated design and fabrication space. Our CNC machining capabilities include over 30 machining centers.
Cost Effective Solutions
Calspan's is able to offer manufacturing solutions from both alloy and composite material configurations. Our hardware has been used for the validation of prototype submarine propulsors.
