Bringing a comprehensive and deep technical understanding of hypersonic system development challenges, Calspan is helping to improve the US hypersonic test infrastructure.
Starting with basic objectives, the team can develop complete turn-key test facility systems including all analysis, design, construction, commissioning and operation tasks. The team specializes in ultra high temperature heaters for both air and fuel and in the design and manufacture of complex cooled components including hypersonic facility nozzles and hot section systems. No system is too small, too large or too complex for the Calspan team.
In addition to hardware and system development, Calspan supports the operation of major US Government hypersonic facilities providing experienced specialized personnel on-site in addition to reach-back capability to the broader team when required.
